Germany, largest EU economy

Our neighboring country is the largest European market in the construction and real estate sector and the country where Dutch architects attain their largest international turnover. There is currently more work in Germany than the German architects can offer thanks to years of economic growth. An ideal time to gain international experience close to home!

  Floris Beemster, municipality of Amsterdam / NL embassy Berlin

Floris Beemster lives and works in Germany and, as project manager, represents the regions of Amsterdam and Utrecht and Creative Holland in southern Germany. He is responsible for the implementation of the South Germany strategy of the Amsterdam and Utrecht regions, which are committed to connecting the triple helix of two of the most innovative regions in Europe. As a connector and creative Deutschlandversteher, he builds and distributes a network for parties in the SME sector, the government and knowledge institutions focused on trade and knowledge exchange. His focus is on urban innovation and the creative industry.

Alexander speaks fluent German and has roots in Southern Germany, Franconia. As an experienced policy officer in design process and technology at the BNA, he has gained a lot of knowledge about sustainable development, BIM, urbanism, sustainability and renewable energy within architecture and planning. Alexander attained his Master with a focus on architecture and studied at Delft University of Technology and he represents the interests of architects in ‘The Hague’ for the BNA.

The Arab states in the Gulf are fully engaged in an economic transition from the traditional oil industry into real estate, tourism and hospitality, sustainability and technological developments. V8 Architects is part of thehas been selected for the design and construction of the Dutch pavilion during EXPO 2020 in Dubai. With a pavilion that is not a building in the traditional sense, but a temporary climate system built with locally available building materials, the Netherlands participates in the Dubai EXPO 2020 in a distinctive way.

Michael Cesarz is an architect and was CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Shopping Mall branch in Dubai, UAE, with over 20 highly successful and innovative properties across the Middle East, including the Mall of the Emirates. Cesarz is now CEO of Thyssenkrupp Elevator MULTI CEO.

As a Arabist with a Dutch background, extensive experience and large network in the region, she likes to bridge the gap between the Netherlands and the Arab world. She is also a board member at the Roia Foundation in the Netherlands and an expert within the Grote Midden-Oosten Platform.

Robert is co-founder and architect partner of Blok Kats van Veen Architects (B K V V). He is co-founder and chairman of DASUDA, the Dutch Alliance for Sustainable Urban Development. Liaison and partner offices are located in different African countries. Robert specializes in sustainable architecture, in tropical climates, self-sufficient designs and use of local materials.
